About Kindness Clubs International

Kindness Clubs International was begun in 2023 by David Arnt and Durga Maya Andersen. Our first club, Kindness Club Motherland, was established in 2020 by Durga Maya and Narayan Baral at Motherland Secondary School in Pokhara, Nepal. Also, in the same year, Durga Maya started the kindness stories reading program. She was joined by New York librarian, Megan Baker. Our program relied heavily on Google Classroom. Additionally, at the request of the school's principal, Narayan, we began the implementation of Kindness Classes. By 2021 Shree Krishna Pariyar took over Kindness Club Motherland as Co-ordinator. He also taught the Kindness Classes. We have since established clubs in Georgia, Ecuador, the Philippines and more in Nepal with the help of our teammates. The clubs now come in a wide range of flavors and sizes.

Kindness Clubs International is the legal entity by which the founders intend to establish and drive many more clubs. Their intention is to help other schools and communities around the world establish kindness clubs using the hands-hearts-heads model-- a holistic approach to kindness.

KINDNESS CLUBS INTERNATIONAL and its hand-heart-head logo have been registered (pending) as service marks in the State of California USA. All rights reserved.

How to Start

Get a group together. Explain that inner kindness comes from the 3 Hs. By using our helping hands, kind hearts and thoughtful heads we can be kind to ourselves and to others. Now the prompt: What could we do to make our community a kindner place in which to live? Write down the ideas generated without judgement. Refine and execute the list.
